My Qualifications

If you have seen my latest brochure, you are already familiar with my extensive, broad and varied experiences in Toastmasters, in business, in volunteer organizations and in dealing with international countries and cultures.

What is not listed in my brochure is my additional experience with “Change”. We seem to be living in a time of change and Toastmasters is also in the phase of change. As you all know, we will be voting on major governance changes in August at the International Convention. For my comments on this, please see my specific page on this website. What I wanted to point out here is that during my professional career I participated actively in six (6) corporate mergers and acquisitions. Talk about “change”. Some of these were of international nature, some of these I had major responsibilities for the transition.

This gives me a large base of experience not only on planning major changes, but also in implementing change, monitoring change, assessing the impact of the changes and making appropriate adjustments.Not everything goes as planned, sometimes it requires the courage to recognize that it was not the right thing to do and either retract or modify the changes. This experience is of considerable value and I bring it to this organization at the right time.

The knowledge, experience, and keenness of assessing the value of changes coupled with my extensive experience and successes in Toastmasters, business and civic/volunteer organizations truly makes me “The right person at the right time”.
